Tennis elbow is characterized as a painful
inflammation of the structures involving the elbow joint (tendons, muscle,
bursa, epicondyle, periosteum) and surrounding tissue.
Tennis and golf players are the most commonly
affected patients, along with regular participants of any other sport,
activity, or occupation that requires repeated gripping motions.
Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome :
Do you type on a laptop? Well, don't. Laptop
keyboards are typically small and flat, which forces you to arch your hands and
put undue strain on your wrists. Looking down at the screen also puts a strain
on your neck, which can lead to compression of the carpal tunnel. Bad posture
is the number one cause of carpal tunnel
syndrome, wrist pain, back pain and neck pain.
Carpal
Tunnel Treatment :
The carpaltunnel is a narrow passageway on the palm side of your wrist made up of
bones and ligaments. The median nerve, which controls sensation and movement in
the thumb and first three fingers, runs through this passageway along with
tendons to the fingers and thumb. When it's pinched or compressed, the result
is numbness, tingling, weakness, or pain in the hand.
